Better than dropping the pounds, is the way I feel. I have more energy, I can fit into my tight jeans and there's room to breathe. I am wearing my work pants that I had hidden in the back of my closet because they were too small at the start of winter. I can even tell with how much longer I can walk around in my heels or boots. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of pain, but it's the little things that I celebrate to achieve my overall goal of being healthier. Water is our main beverage and cheaper than pop. I love it. The plastic cups with straws are all the rage at work. I refill all day long, and I have no desire to go back to my Diet Coke addiction. (The straw is where it's at.)
We eat salad daily or twice a day and more vegetables, though I'm still urging Hubs2be on more greens. I actually like salad, but I can't have the same kind everyday. I have to mix it up- southwest with corn and chip strips, fruit and poppyseed, mandarin orange asian inspired. But my absolute favorite- garden salad with fresh tomatoes. LOVE the tomatoes. Food is broken into carbs, proteins, and fat. We are even drinking protein shakes. The chocolate WHEY protein from Wal-mart is fabulous! (not so much a fan of cookies n cream)
I'm just proud of us that we are getting healthier and that we have found another hobby together.
