Dressing with Dresses

Spring is in the air!  Well, at least the hint of spring with these April showers and slightly warmer weather.  That means it is dress season.  Though not a big fan of wearing dresses for long periods of time, I do enjoy the girly aspects of flattering shapes and shoe shopping that comes with dress hunting.

I have been hunting for my engagement photo shoot outfit(s) and my bridal shower dress.  Not to mention I also have a cousin's wedding and baby showers to attend this year too. After an uninspiring trip to my local mall, I decided a little online shopping would be more productive.  I FELL IN LOVE with this dress from Macy's.

I also purchased these 3 dresses from NY and Company since I had a $50 off $100 coupon code.

Jewelry Makes One Happy

As I was strolling through the jewelry store today, trying to decide on a surprise for my Mom's 55th birthday coming up, it hit me; jewelry makes people happy.  These people that work here are able to see people in their most emotional times all because of jewelry.  Jewelry makes people feel special.  It allows people to celebrate an occasion in a way a "Hallmark card" cannot.  Whether it's a proposal waiting to happen, a present for someone special, or a celebration of a milestone, jewelry is the best excuse for those moments.  Plus, those lights in the display cases  makes it sparkle and bling like nothing else.

Future of Education

Have you seen the new Verizon small business commerical-Suzie's Lemondade Stand?  This commercial sums up my feelings about how much students are going to have to mutli-task, use portable technology resources, and compete in a global market.  If kids ruled the world, Susie's Lemonade Stand would be the standard business.
